The flagship model of the new touring range, the new Almonte 12 PT binding combines excellent uphill characteristics with unmatched downhill performance. This innovative TYROLIA product combines the best features of touring skiing in a single product, starting with the toe piece that features an ergonomic lever (which can be operated with the pole or manually) and simplified boot insertion. Thanks to an optimized and narrower open-toe position, correct positioning of the ski boot is child's play. The Almonte heel unit is a must-have with its extra-easy transition between walk and ski modes, not to mention its automatic brake where all the locking parts are internal to prevent icing. Three ascent assistance angles (0°/6.5°/12°) ensure a comfortable ascent. Using the included spacer, the boot-binding combination can be fine-tuned to optimize energy transfer and push the limits of downhill performance. Following the motto “Explore new paths”, a new approach to materials usage has also been adopted to ensure that all plastic parts of the binding are made from renewable raw materials. These features and the light weight of 325 g, including the brake, make the new Almonte the last word in toe bindings. Ski touring enthusiasts will love the light weight and ease of use on the way up and the maximum ski performance on the way down.
